Welcome to the BCNS Website

The Birmingham Canal Navigations Society was originally formed as a registered charity in 1968. In 2002 the Society was reconstituted as a Company Limited by Guarantee having a company number of 4306537 and a charity number 1091760. The Society’s original aims to conserve, improve and encourage a wide range of interests in the 100 mile network of the BCN continue.

˝ MARATHON

Wolverhampton to Birmingham along the BCN Main Line

Saturday July 4th

2009

Chris Morgan, Chairman of the Mons & Brecon Canal Society is running in the event to raise funds for the BCNS. The money raised wil be used to purchase a DVD player and screen for use on the BCNS Publicity Stand.

Come along and support him!

The BCN Society will have boats stationed at intervals along the course to dispense drinks to the runners.

You can make a donation towards Chris' splendid effort at any of the drinks boats stationed along the towpath or can send a donation directly to Chris at his home address:

Latest Work Party News:
Saturday 20th June 2009: 10am start at Titford Pumphouse. Work party in conjunction with Coombeswood Canal Trust. To tidy up the Pumphouse area and the Titford canal corridor prior to the Summer Rally on the Weekend of the 27th and 28th June.
