Bradley Lock Flight
I understand from Vaughan Welch of IWA that Wolverhampton Council have indicated that they would support in principal the restoration of the lock flight to navigation. This is good news and is one of the many hurdles to cross in this embryonic project. We will be following further steps in the process with IWA and BW to see the best way to forward the project.
Council Posts
Our consitutional expert Glynis Riggs kindly reminded me that of course it is up to the first council meeting after the AGM to elect a chairman. There are four posts for which elections will need to be held this year.
And Finally
This will be the last time that I pen these lines for 'Boundary Post', certainly the last few years have been eventful for the society. We have taken on rthe lease for Titford Pumphouse which is a big responsibility for us.
Still from November you will have a new Chairman who will no doubt be looking at developing new oppurtunities for BCNS.
I have had a great time representing the society to the wider waterway community and I have made many good friends as a result. I will for the time being return to looking after the sales side of things again and hopefully have the chance to give it the time it deserves.
All it remains to say is thanks to my colleagues on the council for all their support and suggestions. Really it is they who run the society and are a great bunch dedicated to the success of BCNS.
